The Learning Process

Lectures

The lecture component in each course will consist of 24 studio-recorded lectures given by leading academics employed within the University of London as lecturers, tutors and examiners. The lectures are reviewed and updated each year and available from October. Each lecture will last approximately 40 minutes and the complete set will be dispatched by guaranteed express delivery (at no extra cost) to anywhere in the world within two days of your full payment clearing.

Tutorials

All students registered with London Law Tutors will be entitled to purchase a series of six tutorials, in each subject, comprising studio quality pre-recorded tutorials concentrating on typical exam areas/questions

Free Personal MP3 player

All students registered for lectures and/or tutorials will receive a free Personal MP3 player to enable them to study privately wherever they are and whenever they want.

Mock Exams

All students registered with London Law Tutors will (for an additional charge) be entitled to sit a mock examin each subject to be submitted by 1 April. Provided it is submitted by this date it will be marked and commented upon by university lecturers and will provide invaluable preparation for the forthcoming exam.

E-mail Tutor

All students enrolled on the Full Teaching Package who have also selected the tutorial tapes and mock exam option are also entitled to purchase the e-mail tutor option. This will give them access to an anonymous University of London tutor to whom they can e-mail questions on areas of the course they find difficult. The tutor will provide guidance but not write essays for you nor reveal forthcoming exam topics.

Coursework

There is also a course work component in which students will have the opportunity to submit (by e-mail) four 1500 word pieces of written work in respect of each course on which they are enrolled. Two pieces (usually an essay and a problem question) will be set for submission by 1 January with a further two pieces set to be submitted by 1 April. Provided the work is received by the appointed date it will be marked and commented upon by university lecturers and will provide students with valuable feedback upon their progress. The course work component is included, at no extra cost, in the lecture tape option and is also available as a separate service. We believe that this will be of great assistance to students studying at home and, in conjunction with the lecture handouts (provided to give an indication of the areas being covered in lectures) and the study guides (provided on registration by the University), will secure an excellent foundation for your studies.
